Who I am

My name is Diana. I was hired by ACI Medical in May 2011 to do two main things:  first, get the word out about our main product, the ArtAssist® arterial pump, and second, to get this company connected to the world through new media.

What I like most about my job here is that I get to write. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always found a special connection with books. I even made a Facebook group dedicated to the way books smell when I was in college, but the way Facebook’s been changing around, I quickly lost track of it.

After a while, I developed my own style of writing (although, if I’m being honest with myself, everything about everything is constantly developing – including my writing style…so…that keeps things interesting). For those who are inclined towards the written word, it’s a great outlet for just about anything. One sentence I never utter:  “I can’t explain it.” Yes, you can. You’re just not trying hard enough.

I graduated from the University of California at Davis with a double major in Comparative Literature and German. My hobbies are reading (of course), learning foreign languages (German, French level B1 and Spanglish), yoga, and spoiling my cockapoo.

Oh, and by the way, I’m just redoing all of the blogs I have relating to ACI Medical, so you might have noticed some changes. Horrifyingly, I hadn’t even realized I had no “About Me” description. The others might have thought I was some kind of automaton.

For the record, I’m almost completely human.

So…be sure to check out ACI’s other blogs:  ACIMedical.wordpress.com and Arteriogenesis.wordpress.com

See you around!
